Hasbrouck Heights, NJ |

Peace Islands Institute (PII), a non-profit human equality organization, has leased 3,200 square feet of space at Heights Plaza, located at 777 Terrace Avenue, in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., announced Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, owner and manager of the property.

The transaction was negotiated by MRH Real Estate Services on behalf of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. Alev Erdi of Keller Williams Realty – New Jersey Metro Group represented the tenant.

PII has relocated to the Class A office building from Newark, N.J. “Heights Plaza’s proximity to New York City and superior highway access, combined with ample on-site and neighborhood amenities, added to its ideal suitability for this organization,” said Frank C. Pratt, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ vice president of leasing.

A multi-state organization with branches in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts, PII’s goal is to create an “island of peace” for people of all ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. The institute hosts educational and cultural activities, such as lectures, seminars, discussion panels and youth-based programs.

Featuring 200,000 square feet of space on six floors, Heights Plaza is located at the intersection of Routes 17 and 80, just 10 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. The Class A office building offers tenants convenience to major highways including the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and Route 46. Amenities include abundant covered parking, an on-site cafeteria and Manhattan skyline views. Recent property upgrades include new elevators and new rooftop HVAC units. Heights Plaza is adjacent to the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/Meadowlands hotel and within two miles of Teterboro Airport.

“We are pleased to add Peace Islands Institute to the growing roster of tenants at Heights Plaza,” said Jerry L. Barta, vice president and director of leasing and marketing at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “This move represents a perfect opportunity for the organization to establish a local presence at one of Bergen County’s premier office addresses.”
