Sutnick & Sutnick LLC, a law firm specializing in criminal defense services, has leased 917 square feet of space at Court Plaza South in Hackensack, N.J., announced Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, owner and manager of the property.
The transaction was negotiated by Colliers International on behalf of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.
The law firm is moving to the Class A office complex from another Hackensack office location. Situated directly across from the Bergen County Courthouse, Court Plaza is widely recognized as the premier legal address in Bergen County, according to Jerry L. Barta, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ vice president/director of leasing and marketing.
“Sutnick & Sutnick LLC is another prime example of a prominent local law firm that has chosen Court Plaza to meet their current, and future, needs,” said Barta. “The complex’s desirable location and quality amenities proved to be a winning combination for this tenant. We look forward to being part of their continued growth and success in the years to come.”
Sutnick & Sutnick, LLC’s team of criminal defense attorneys is dedicated to helping clients throughout northern New Jersey and New York City across a variety of practice areas. Partners Laura C. Sutnick and Warren S. Sutnick, both former prosecutors, each have more than 20 years of legal experience.
“We made the decision to establish a presence at Court Plaza because we value the convenience of being within walking distance of the Bergen County Courthouse,” said Laura C. Sutnick. “This is a beautiful office complex that offers an abundance of on-site amenities for our firm’s members as well as our clients.”
The 335,000-square-foot Court Plaza office complex includes 165,000 square feet at Court Plaza North, 160,000 square feet at Court Plaza South and 10,000 square feet at Court Plaza East. All tenants enjoy a landscaped plaza with fountains and seating areas, ample covered parking, a full-service bank, shoe shine/repair and dry cleaning services, eco-friendly car wash service, a fitness center, public transportation to New York City and Northern N.J., a cafeteria with indoor and outdoor seating, and a common meeting room. As the headquarters location for Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, Court Plaza is located near shops, restaurants and other amenities, and is just one mile from Routes 4 and 17, and I-80.
A key enhancement at Court Plaza is the recent addition of the Alfred and Mary Sanzari Garden, a public garden honoring the legacy of Alfred and Mary Sanzari, co-founders of the real estate development firm. Located on the corner of Main and Essex streets, the 10,000-square-foot site was designed as a place to relax and enjoy nature for members of the community as well as Court Plaza’s tenants and area professionals. The garden features a fountain, brick and stone pathways and walls, benches and decorative lighting, all surrounded by lush plantings.
“Court Plaza continues drawing tenants in search of top-flight building amenities, flexible office space and a coveted downtown location,” said Frank C. Pratt, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ vice president of leasing and marketing. “Our proactive approach to property ownership and management were among the added advantages to this tenant.”
