Juicy Platters Joins Tenant Roster at Summit Plaza in Hackensack

Hackensack, NJ |

Fast-casual Mediterranean fusion restaurant Juicy Platters has leased 2,700 square feet at Summit Plaza in Hackensack, becoming the latest tenant to join the retail mix at this key Bergen County shopping destination. The 100,000-square-foot center is owned and managed by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.

Stephanie Greco of The Greco Realty Group negotiated the lease on behalf of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. Craig Kerbekian of Hekemian & Co. represented the tenant.

“Juicy Platters was looking to expand its Bergen County presence in a shopping center that offered high consumer traffic, and great exposure and visibility among a growing residential and commercial population. The tenant found all this and more at Summit Plaza,” said Greco. “Juicy Platters brings a fast, fresh and affordable food option to the community, and represents an outstanding new addition to the shopping center.”

Open in Fair Lawn since 2011, Juicy Platters serves healthy and delicious Mediterranean-inspired meals in a comfortable environment. The restaurant is known for its exceptional service, and nutritionally diverse menu options inspired by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Choose My Plate” initiative. Juicy Platters offers platters, pitas and wraps, with a choice of meat or vegetarian options such as falafel. To enhance the nutritional value of meals, patrons have the option to “Add Some Color” with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Homemade Juicy White and Juicy Hot sauces give different heat and flavor to dishes.

Juicy Platters’ patrons travel from throughout New Jersey and beyond to dine at the restaurant’s Fair Lawn location, according to Jeff Wahdat, Brand Manager of Juicy Platters LLC. “We felt it was our responsibility to alleviate this commute for many of our guests, and we plan to open four more Juicy Platters locations in 2015. In line with this growth strategy, we came across Summit Plaza in Hackensack. The shopping center satisfied all the requirements for our concept: easy access to major highways; ample parking; and proximity to our existing clientele, who come from a large stretch of towns starting as far south as Rutherford and continuing into the Hackensack area.”

Located at 370-380 West Pleasantview Ave. at the intersection of Route 17, Summit and West Pleasantview avenues, Summit Plaza is anchored by an expanded 62,000- square-foot Super Stop & Shop. The high-profile center boasts a diverse mix of nationally recognized retail and service tenants including Harmon Cosmetics, GNC, Payless ShoeSource, RadioShack, Dress Barn, The UPS Store, GameStop and Blimpie as well as typical neighborhood services such as a dry cleaner and a pizzeria.

Two recent additions to Summit Plaza – martial arts studio United Tae Kwon Do Center and Great Expressions Dental Centers – further enhance the family-friendly nature of this premier shopping environment.

Two retail spaces (1,200 SF and 4,000 SF) remain available at Summit Plaza

Summit Plaza’s location in the heart of Route 17’s retail corridor, excellent daily consumer traffic and strong demographics all contribute to its appeal. The center is near Routes 4, 46 and 80, and surrounded by 14 towns within a three-mile radius. The center serves a growing residential population of more than 100,000 people within a two-mile radius and a daytime population of more than 66,000 people within the same two miles. The marketplace offers a median household income of about $80,000.

“The addition of Juicy Platters reflects our continued focus to make Summit Plaza a ‘one stop shopping’ destination for those who live and work in the community,” according to Jerry L. Barta, vice-president/director of leasing and marketing for Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “As Summit Plaza’s solid tenant mix continues to evolve, Juicy Platters will be able to take advantage of the nonstop flow of shoppers and the center’s fabulous co-tenancy.”
