GNC Renews Lease at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ Summit Plaza in Hackensack, N.J.

General Nutrition Corp. (GNC) has renewed its lease for 1,200 square feet at Summit Plaza in Hackensack. The 100,000-square-foot supermarket-anchored neighborhood shopping center is owned and managed by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.

The transaction was negotiated in-house by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.

Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa., GNC is a leading global specialty retailer of health and wellness products, including vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements, and sports nutrition and diet products.

“Summit Plaza has been more than a stable location for GNC, and our store continues to perform very well here,” said John Stokes, GNC’s real estate representative. “We are pleased to renew our lease, and similarly look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.”

Located at 370-380 West Pleasantview Ave. at the intersection of Route 17, Summit and West Pleasantview avenues, Summit Plaza is anchored by a 62,000-square-foot Super Stop & Shop. Tenants include Harmon Cosmetics, Payless ShoeSource, RadioShack, Dress Barn, The UPS Store, United Tae Kwon Do Center, GameStop, Great Expressions Dental Centers, Mediterranean restaurant Juicy Platters and Blimpie, as well as typical neighborhood services such as a dry cleaner and a pizzeria.

Summit Plaza is located in the heart of Route 17’s retail corridor near Routes 4, 46 and 80, and surrounded by 14 towns within a three-mile radius. The center serves a growing residential population of more than 100,000 people within a two-mile radius and a daytime population of more than 66,000 people within the same two miles. The marketplace offers a median household income of about $80,000.

Two retail spaces (1,200 SF and 4,000 SF) remain available at Summit Plaza.
