ALFRED SANZARI ENTERPRISES AWARDS LEASING ASSIGNMENT FOR TWO PRIME NEW JERSEY OFFICE BUILDINGS

Hackensack, NJ |

Alfred Sanzari Enterprises has awarded the leasing assignment for two prime Bergen County, New Jersey office buildings to Colliers International, announced Jerry L. Barta, the Hackensack-based company’s vice president, director of leasing and marketing. Heading up the assignment are executive managing directors Rich Mirliss and Richard Madison of Colliers International’s Parsippany, N.J. office.

The Colliers team will market the landmark Court Plaza, a multi-building, 335,000-square-foot class A property opposite the Bergen County Courthouse in downtown Hackensack, and the 200,000-square-foot Heights Plaza in Hasbrouck Heights.

“Colliers International brings to this important assignment not just a high level of expertise, but a keen understanding of the specific product and market, and a depth of personnel,” said Barta. “Their track record speaks for itself, and we look forward to working with them in marketing these signature office buildings.”

Court Plaza in Hackensack consists of the 10,000-square-foot Court Plaza East at 19 Main St., the 160,000-square-foot Court Plaza South at 21 Main St., and the 165,000-square-foot Court Plaza North at 25 Main St. Constructed in the 1980s, the buildings are located near I-95, I-80 and Routes 4, 17 and 46. Features include covered parking, a fitness center and a full-service cafeteria.

“Court Plaza has historically been one of the drivers of the resurgence of downtown Hackensack,” said Robert Martie, executive vice president-New Jersey region for Colliers. “A lot of what has happened in Hackensack has been a result of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ efforts with this project and the way it ties into the legal community and the City’s role as the county seat.”

“The entire downtown continues to undergo a revitalization,” said Madison. “Court Plaza’s location is an attractive option for people who want to be in a vibrant downtown, near shops, restaurants and other amenities. This is a great building with great amenities and services.”

“Our marketing effort will be to focus on this revitalization and all the benefits that this location provides,” said Mirliss. “It offers a prestigious BergenCounty address with a downtown feel.”

Situated at 777   Terrace Ave. in Hasbrouck Heights, the six-story Heights Plaza’s amenities include indoor parking, a café and 24-hour tenant access. It is located adjacent to the Hilton Hotel and ConferenceCenter, and the key intersection of I-80 and Route 17, near Route 46.

“The old real estate adage ‘location, location, location’ was never more appropriate than for HeightsPlaza,” said Martie. “It provides a great Meadowlands option for smaller and mid-sized office tenants at a great price point,” said Madison.

“We will be looking for regional companies that need to be in the northern Meadowlands,” said Mirliss. “This is a well-run, top-notch facility that has been continually modernized and renovated. Both properties will be undergoing additional upgrades.”

“The Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ organization is one of the premier landlords in the region,” said Martie. “They are a hands-on owner that is deeply ingrained in the fabric of Bergen County. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to work with them.”
