Holmdel, N.J. (June 21, 2021) – Executives from Alfred Sanzari Enterprises along with representatives from CBRE, Elberon Development Group, KRE Group, Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, Rutgers the State University of New Jersey and Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. were recently honored at NAIOP NJ’s President’s Awards held at Bell Works in Holmdel, N.J.

The President’s Awards is a celebration of the individuals and companies who have made a powerful and lasting impact on the state’s real estate community. Cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020, the 2021 President’s Awards mark the first in-person event held by NAIOP NJ in over a year. Recognizing the unique circumstances of the past year, NAIOP NJ sought to celebrate and thank the commercial real estate industry’s most venerable companies and organizations for their many contributions to NAIOP NJ, particularly over the last year. In addition, the event showcased the spirit of resiliency, adaptability and discipline exhibited by each of the firms as they navigated the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary throughout 2020, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises has long been one of New Jersey’s most respected commercial real estate developers and property managers as well as a dedicated supporter of NAIOP NJ. Guided by the founding ideals espoused by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ namesake, Alfred Sanzari, the firm has adhered to the highest standards of integrity and trustworthiness in every aspect of its work over seven-plus decades.  As the firm enters its third generation of family leadership, it continues to uphold those values in the management of its six-million-square-foot office, residential, industrial and hospitality portfolio and the communities where it is located.

“Since NAIOP NJ’s inception over 50 years ago, our organization has been proud to support the association in its vital work to advance the commercial real estate industry in New Jersey. Our relationship has spanned generations starting with my grandfather and has continued with my father, uncle and me.” said Ryan Sanzari, President at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “We are deeply honored to be included among so many of the industry’s most-respected and trusted professional organizations and I want to especially thank our team for their hard work, talent and dedication which is the foundation for our continued success. We look forward to continuing to advance NAIOP NJ’s mission of achieving responsible, sustainable development that creates jobs and benefits the local communities in which we work and live as our region rebuilds from the pandemic.”

Today, Ryan Sanzari, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ third generation of family leadership, guides the company while drawing on the expertise and wisdom of his father, David Sanzari, and uncle, Ben Sanzari, who are still deeply involved in the trajectory of the organization. Building upon the organization’s 75 years of success, Ryan Sanzari is carrying on the company’s legacy while creating a more agile and efficient company that is well-equipped to take on the real estate challenges of the future. By streamlining the company’s operations, the firm has taken strides to remodel its departmental structure, reporting lines, infrastructure, and software capabilities to help prepare the company for another 75 years of success.

Aligning with the mission of NAIOP NJ, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ work has been defined by the understanding that, while its track record of successful development and management is impressive, the true mark of a successful real estate investment is measured not by dollars and cents, but by the lasting impact made on the communities in which we work. This belief is a driving force in ASE’s legacy ownership strategy in which the company has retained over 90% of the assets it has built over its 75 plus-year history to ensure their properties continue to be key places for both companies and communities.

Additionally, ASE takes great pride in supporting the local communities where they work, donating to several charities including an annual ‘Giving Thanks’ food drive each November in partnership with The Second Reformed Church.  Since 2010, more than 750 pounds of food have been collected and donated to the local community. Additionally, ASE recognized a variety of ways to help communities during COVID-19. Noteworthy charitable initiatives include:

  • Providing donations of personal care products to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.
  • Donating 2,750 stays at its Hampton Inn & Suites hotel to the selfless & incredible healthcare workers fighting COVID-19.
  • Hosting the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office at the parking lot outside its Medical Arts Building as they sanitized personal vehicles of 50+ Hackensack Meridian Health employees.
