Tenant Spotlight: The Print Group
For over seven decades, we have understood that real estate development and ownership involves much more than bricks and mortar. For us, success is built upon lasting relationships cultivated through a steadfast commitment to integrity and the highest standards of tenant service.
The vision is exemplified by the numerous tenants who have trusted us with their business for decades. Whether they have been with us for two months or fifty years, we sincerely thank all of our tenants for their partnership. As we mark our milestone 75th anniversary throughout 2020, we would like to share some of their stories of growth and detail how our long-term ownership strategy has helped make a difference for their businesses.

Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ oldest tenant considers themselves part of the family.
Founded in 1954 by Leon DeStefan, The Print Group’s close relationship with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises extends back 60 years. Like Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, The Print Group has been family owned and operated since day one and is currently in its second generation of family management under the leadership of Michael DeStefan.
The partnership between owner and tenant began as most real estate relationships do—Leon DeStefan needed a larger space to accommodate his growing print business.
Leon and Alfred Sanzari began discussing The Print Group’s space needs on the sidewalk in front of the then under-construction 24 East Wesley Street, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ first industrial project. A highly adaptable and well-located industrial building, this location checked all the boxes for Leon’s growing company, and they moved into the space in early 1959. Six decades later, The Print Group still proudly calls the space home.
Typically, for many tenants, the lease negotiation process might be the last time they interact with their landlord directly. Moreover, many tenants often see a revolving door of landlords as the building is sold and resold.
However, for The Print Group, the signing of the lease was only the beginning of a long and multigenerational relationship with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. Over the last 60 years, Leon and Michael have worked closely with almost every member of the Sanzari family, negotiating lease renewal after lease renewal at 24 East Wesley Street.
When asked why they have stayed for so long, current President Michael DeStefan said, “It has never felt like we were dealing with a company, we always knew we were working with a family. And since they never sold the building, we were confident in that long-term family relationship.”
Today, The Print Group is a multi-format printing and promotional company, with capabilities that include traditional full color offset printing as well as full color digital. Their copying department boasts high speed equipment with booklet making ability and they are proud to use the latest offset/digital technologies from the industry’s most prestigious brands. Although the technology has changed, the company’s employees remain focused on their original mission to create printed and promotional goods for the local business community. Throughout every evolution in technologies or processes, their space at 24 East Wesley Street has remained consistent in its ability to ensure that The Print Group’s work environment can continue to meet the needs of the local business community.
In a constantly changing commercial real estate industry, it can be difficult to find things that can be described as timeless,” said David Sanzari, President and CEO of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “As we embark on this celebration of our organization’s commitment to our tenants, it’s clear that our focus on integrity and tenant service has rightfully earned that moniker. We are deeply proud of the long-term relationships that have formed the basis of our success over the past 75 years and we thank the DeStefan family for their continued trust and partnership in allowing us to serve the real estate needs of The Print Group for 60 years.”
